Cambrex IEP possesses a unique portfolio of its own enzymes of different classes and origin, which cover a broad substrate spectrum and enable the fast evaluation of activity for customer’s compounds.  The enzyme platform is permanently extended and reaches now more than 100 enzymes, which are recombinantly expressed to more than 30% of total protein and shows up to 20.000 Units of activity per 1 g bio wet weight. Due to the special expertise and improvements of fermentation processes the enzyme cost contributions are minimal even at ton scale operations.
